The Tech Corp manages the audio-visual systems, streaming of services and computers.
The duties of a Tech Corp AV member requires no programming or advanced technical or computer-based experience.
What is required:
- a basic understanding of the Windows operating system and environment.
- an ability to multitask and to monitor several audio and visual processes simultaneously
- an artistic eye for camera direction in conjunction with closely following and predicting the queues of the service or ceremony
- a willingness to:
- arrive 30 minutes prior to services and events for setup and to stay afterward for breakdown
- be available with a day or two’s notice for funerals, shivas, etc. and to fill-in for other Tech Corp members
On-site training will be provided as well as a complete manual. After one to three Shabbat service training sessions, one should be confident with her/his/their ability to manage and operate independently.
It may seem rather daunting at first as there is a requirement to manage and monitor many processes concurrently in any (but not always all) combinations: Vimeo, Zoom,YouTube broadcasts, Zoom administration, Kindle display for the siddur, audio control and balancing, camera direction and helping with congregation participation may all be needed for a service. Rest assured, all these processes can be all managed by one experienced person.
