Kulanu
ABOUT KULANU
Kulanu, Hebrew for “all of us,” is an ADL sponsored program dedicated to empowering congregations to address antisemitism and hate in their communities through education, community engagement, and advocacy.
The Kulanu initiative at B’nai Israel Southbury is being led by Rabbi Eric Polokoff along with volunteers from our congregation who are passionate and committed to fighting hate in our community. We seek to build advocacy through education, programming, and establishing a common purpose of eliminating antisemitism as a foundational form of hatred and misinformation. We will leverage existing resources and expertise at ADL and other organizations such as Project Shema, and the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.
EDUCATION
One of our primary missions is education, first educating our team and the congregation at large, but then sharing knowledge with those in the community to both fight misinformation and also to build advocacy. Below we have shared some selected resources we have collated to date.Anti-Defamation League Website, https://www.adl.org/
- Stand Up to Jewish Hate site from the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, https://www.standuptojewishhate.org/

GET INVOLVED
We encourage other members of the congregation to participate in our efforts to educate themselves and others on our mission to fight antisemitism. Please reach out to Rabbi Polokoff if you would like to join us or simply to learn more or sit in on one of our upcoming meetings.
