ABOUT the Social Action Committee

B’nai Israel’s Social Action Committee leads efforts to put Jewish values like tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedek (justice), and
gemilut chasadim (acts of loving-kindness) into practice. We promote community engagement and connect Jewish values to action.
We are planning for this year’s congregational Mitzvah Day, scheduled for May 3, 2026. Consider joining our efforts to help increase
congregant engagement in a meaningful day of service for all ages. We are also looking for one or two Mitzvah Day Sponsors!
