when southbury said no! to the nazis:  1937.  ongoing commemoration

In 1937 the town of Southbury put a halt to the establishment of a Nazi training camp in the Kettletown section. B'nai Israel and the Jewish community have figured prominently in the commemoration, that has included the creation of the award-winning and Emmy nominated film "Home of the Brave."  See "Home of the Brave" below. As part of an educational program "Home of the Brave" was featured on Connecticut Public Television, the United States Senate and the Connecticut State Capitol.   The US Holocaust Memorial Museum celebrated Southbury's deed in the Spring 2015 issue of its magazine.
