b'nai israel what happens in our world, can happen in yours
we are a group of women and men who believe in Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.
we come together once a month in the temple kitchen to make sandwiches for the homeless, and deliver them with love to GWIM, Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries in Waterbury, CT.
within a span of approximately two hours, we make enough sandwiches to feed 200 people.
we leave the kitchen with not only a good feeling from performing a mitzvah, but also with a renewed faith in mankind. So come join the Mitzies! We look forward to seeing you in the kitchen!
our next Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich making event is to benefit the Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries Soup Kitchen (g.w.i.m)
please contact Sharon Goldman if you are interested in helping to make sandwiches. Each volunteer is asked to bring a loaf of bread, peanut butter, and jelly (preferably in a squeezable bottle).
if you can not attend, but would like to donate food, you may drop off peanut butter, jelly, and/or bread at the B'nai Israel kitchen marking them as "soup kitchen supplies".
thank you for your support.
