pasture. B'nai Israel, together with its campus partner,  The Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut, live harmoniously in this unique setting. And to everyone's delight, so do the cows.  For much of the year grazing is a common site greeting visitors as they drive up to the facility!

the sophie, mark & joseph brinker administrative building offers much needed office space to both b'nai israel & the jewish federation staff.

the traurig sanctuary can hold, in its 1/4 round form - 154 persons and in its 1/2 round layout welcomes up to 300 persons. On the High Holy Days the Sanctuary expands to over 500 worshippers. Prayer, joy, celebration, empathy and mourning are all encompassed in this formal and spiritually-inspiring worship space.

b.i.r.s (b'nai israel religious school)  is housed in an 8 classroom wing for grades K - 7, as well as a confirmation program and the William and Audrey Walzer Pre-School. A double classroom open possibilities for larger group programs while the teen lounge hosts a variety of services and community gatherings. the harry & jeanette weinberg community function hall is a 3600 square foot (60' x 60') venue that is perfect for a wedding reception, a b'nai mitzvah party, and can be rented to host a myriad of functions. pergola ​The special features of the campus continue beyond the building’s walls with a special pergola that can be used for outdoor gatherings, weddings and for Sukkot, as well as outdoor areas for prayer & meditation.

the brownstein family chapel is a more intimate, minimalist space with views open to nature.  Designed to hold up to 60 persons, it is the ideal space for smaller weddings and baby namings, and other intimate lifecycle events or programs. Frequented by our own Junior Congregation (JuCon), High Holy Days services led by our youth are offered here for families with school age children.

roselyn & nelson zackin lobby Upon passing through a gateway of Jerusalem stone, visitors to the lobby of our campus enter a gallery rotunda of more jerusalem stone & glass that is at once warm and open.

B'nai Israel Southbury, an integral part of the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, occupies a large segment of the 10,000 square foot building which sits on a lush 17 acres just a mile above Exit 15 on Interstate 84. Housed in an acclaimed architecturally modern building featuring rural influences, the campus sits atop a bucolic cow

the sophie brinker library has an extensive and the largest collection of Jewish books in the area. With 8 stained glass panels created by artist Efrem Weitz, the library casts a beautiful glow to read, study and contemplate.
